What is Christian apologetics?
The word apologetics derives from the word apologia. In Ancient Greece, an apologia was a formal speech given as a defense in a court of law. Plato’s Apology is an example of a popular apologetic discourse. Today in theology, those who wish to offer a reasoned defense for their belief system use the discipline of apologetics. Subsequently, Christians employ apologetics inside the church as a way to grow in their faith (internal apologetics) as well as outside the church as a complement to evangelism (external apologetics).

What is a Christian worldview?
A Christian worldview integrates the tenets of Christianity into all sectors of life including science, politics, psychology, education, philosophy, and relationships. Since Christians hold to a biblical understanding of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration, they see the world and their existence differently from an agnostic, pantheist, or atheist. Subsequently, Christians and non-Christians have drastically different views on matters such as the nature of truth, the concept of personhood, and basis of morality. As we look deeper into our worldview, we are able to engage in more productive conversations with those who hold different presuppositions.
